I am a 24 years old engineer working in the aviation industry and am passionate about photography.
I live in Marignane, southern France, where most of Airbus' helicopters are manufactured. I have a particular attraction for these machines and their complex mechanical features. It is always a thrill to see them hover !
I started photography a few years ago, with my father teaching me the basics. As both of us are into aviation, we attended many airshows were I could practice. The Ferté Alais airshow is perfect for mastering low speed shots, offering to practice on piston engine airplanes with low RPM. Besides, the forest in the background give perfect opportunities for panning shots.
My father lend me his cameras for a start, which allowed me to practice on professionnal cameras such as the Nikon D5, D500, D810 and D850 coupled with a Nikkor 200-500mm lense. I now use my own camera, a Nikon D750 with a Tamron 150-600mm.
