Slovenian Armed Forces Bell 412 visits Marseille
A rare Bell 412 operated by the Slovenian Armed Forces made a surprise landing at Marseille Provence Airport tonight, I was lucky enough to see the crew mooring the choper for the night. The Slovenian Armed Forces have a fleet of 8 Bell 412s, making it a very rare bird to sight.
The Bell 412 was developped from the Bell 212 and features a 4 blades rotors. It is a late derivative of the infamous Bell UH-1 Huey, the mythic helicopter that is primarely knwon for its service during the Vietnam War.
Almost 900 units of the Bell 412 were built since 1979, and is still in production, notably in Japan where Subaru delivered the first Bell 412 EPX to the Japan's police.
